I can't believe we all made it this far! 50th? I'd say scrap it since I am not able lend a hand from and tge fact that the Covid thang may very well continue prohibiting gatherings. It makes it very hard to plan, schedule facility, etc, as we all experienced. I do have plans for my show season competition and if a date and place is selected for reunion, I will try my best to be there. Cheers and good health to all.

I would like to help with a reunion even if it was the 51st or 52nd. I also think the virus will still be with us so a gathering may not be a good idea this year.

Hi Everyone and Happy New Year! I too cannot believe it's been 50 years and I'm in complete denial that we are now "those" old people. As much as I'd love to see everyone, I agree that there's a high probability that the Covid will still be with us this year. Maybe we could still do something informal and outdoors, if things improve. I'll volunteer for a committee if we decide to put something together either for this year or a celebration in the future.

I'm so glad to see some discussion here!  Thanks Sue & Laura for the offer to help "if" we have one.  Pat had emailed me on the 31st asking if anyone had contacted me, so I'm pretty sure he'd also help.   Yo Pat......are you there?

Maybe we can wait a few months to see how this vaccine thing plays out.  And maybe we could plan an approximate date so people save it on their calendar. The past few we have had in September.............maybe that would be good timing again?  I'm pretty sure Fred is interested in coming from Georgia and I'm now in Arizona and would probably make the trek.

More thoughts anyone?

Happy New Year!!  I can't believe that it has been 50 years.  I guess time really does fly when you are having fun. I'm with Joleen and Laura, I think we should wait until next year to plan anything.  Covid does not seem to be on its way out yet, which limits gatherings.  Take care

Even though I am not a member of your class-- I would come because I feel like I am. My 2 years teaching at Tolt were the two best years of my life and you are all a part of that.

My thoughts, if we plan a 50th for this year we probably will have a low turnout like the 45th. I would come, but I would bring my 6-foot stick and spray bottle of disinfectant.

Seriously, I have had too many of my family members, friends and clients experience the Covid virus not to think twice about this.

What do you think about a Virtual Class Reunion for this year and an in-person Reunion once the Covid Vaccine has done what it can do? We should be able to pull this off using Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or another platform.

During the next 4 Months I am tied up. After I will make myself available to assist with a Reunion.

You know what Les, that is a great idea. Now how to get all these dinosaurs on Zoom....Anyone very proficient at it?

I would not say I am an expert at it at all. I did check. A Logitech web camera costs about $50 with a mic. There are a number of Zoom tutorials on the internet.

With the online learning that has been going over the last 10 plus months there is a lot information on how to use Zoom or Mircosoft Teams. Both my children and grandchildren are able to access and use these programs.

With the lead time we have there should be enough time to make it happen.

After May 1st I would be able to assist questions and training

Ok Les,   I do know all the ipads & iphones you can zoom from as well as computers (both apple & pc) with built-in cameras.

I'll also check via this website tutorials & admins and see if perhaps they're doing some zooms via this website.  Stay tuned

We all shared the experience of being part of a rural upbringing and lifestyle during our developmental years living in the Snoqualmie Valley and having attended Tolt High School. It will soon be 50 years since the class of 1971 "left the nest" and entered our individual life's journey into destinations unknown. Many of us have maintained regular ongoing relationships. Many of us attended our 10th, 20th, and 40th reunions. A few of us made it to our 45th. I very much look forward to re-uniting with everyone again, whether that be in this our 50th year since graduation or as soon thereafter as is feasible. I am available to assist in planning again but welcome a few others to take the lead. I see some of you already offering to take part. I can see a "Zoom meeting" working well for planning purposes, but hope we can all meet without restrictions at some future time to "celebrate our life experiences". Pat

Hi All,         I got this note from Les Humphrey :

Hi Chris

Pam Mueller(Fisher) stopped by the office today. While she was here she let me know that Elmond passed away on July 27th. He passed from kidney failure. He had a hereditary kidney disease and had a kidney transplant 18 years ago. It finally gave out. Thought you would like to post it.
